Tadley Calleva A are through to the Semi Finals of the Peter Raynbird Cup following their 4-2 home win against Basingstoke Royals

with all four goals scored by Kye Theodore. Royals were never in the picture during the first half as Theodore completed his hat trick by the 35th minute. Stephen Burgess set up the first after 15 minutes; he headed home a cross from Andy Johnson for the second in the 25th after Johnson was fouled in the box in the 35th he put away the spot kick for the third. Royals came back strongly after the break and pulled it back to 3-2, with goals from Nicholas Willcock and James McIntosh. But in added time their hopes were dashed when Ben Todd went on a strong run, was brought down and Theodore again converted from the penalty spot. Referee Mick Walsh booked seven in all, four for Tadley and three of Royals. Also in the hat for the last four are Hook after beating Division Two Winklebury Wizards 4-1. The score flattered the Premier Division side and probably played the better football, but sloppy play in the 15th minute following a throw in by Peter Pike gave Andy Parker to score from the edge of the box. Plenty of possession for Wizards, but Mark Beagley made it 2-0 as half time approached and in the 60th Aaron King broke through and beat the keeper in a one on one for a three goal advantage. There was hope for Tommy Clegg’s side when Hugo Carlo played Ben Clark through to reduce the arrears, but Hook came again on the break and Tom Davies netted the fourth.

In the Basingstoke Senior Open Cup Overton United are through to the Semi Finals after they defeated AFC Aldermaston 2-1 on Wednesday evening away. Their task was made easier when the home side went down to ten men following a send off as early as the 30th minute. In the second half goals from Danny Houseman and substitute Oliver Bode gave United a two goal lead, with the goal from Liam Tackley coming too late.
In the other Quarter Finals at Alton where Basingstoke Royals were due to visit, was not played as Royals were unable to raise a team, so Town has a walk over.

It is North Warnborough who go into the Semi Finals of the North Hants Junior Cup after winning the local derby against Hook Reserves 2-1 at King George’s Playing Fields. It was an eventful first half when Ben Salisbury gave Borough a 20th minute lead and Jack McKee equalized. Hook then lost McKee sent off for late tackle and with this advantage Jason Williams came up with the winner after being put through by Ryan Thorpe. At the end Hook had goalkeeper Joe Cousin red carded for dissent after being booked earlier in the game. The other Quarter Final played, was at Kingsclere where they defeated Sutton Scotney 8-1.
